Sit and Shuffle

A fun, informal way to connect., on Zoom. We start off with a 30 minute meditation and then stick around to chat and share stories. Everyone is invited. Please come and enjoy!

The topic this week is: inspiring people. Name someone who is a role model or inspiring figure for you (can be alive or dead, real or fictional). When did you first encounter him/her? What inspires you about this character and why?

The Buddha Holds Up a Flower

The flower wouldn’t have meant much unless the Buddha had held it up.  Silence isn’t golden unless it’s in the context of noise. Abbot Koshin Cain will discuss how the two rely on each other.

Join us in the ancient practice of harmonizing body and mind using simple, easy to follow meditation in motion. You will learn breathing techniques that generate free- flowing energy in the spirit of non achieving. and removing hindrances for health benefits.

Saturdays: 8-8:30 am meditation. 8:30-9 am Qigong

All are welcome. No experience necessary.


Wednesdays | 9 – 10am, and 5 – 6 pm

Dokusan is a confidential meeting with a Zen teacher to discuss practice. It is open to all members of PSZC. Dokusan with Abbot Chris Cain is offered every Wednesday, from 9 to 10am, and 5-6 pm. Go to our calendar page to sign up for a half hour slot. Please sign up at least a day in advance.
